Calling June is a second-generation textile venture founded by a free-spirited soul who wanted to dive into the ocean of holiday-wear clothing.
Our challenge here was to make it stand out amongst the wave of new clothing labels flooding the same market. Enter Calling June.
We came upon the name "Calling June" as a callback to the month that witnesses the most vacations in the world. The brand’s visual language is largely inspired by Japanese manga found in Shokudos, or the casual dining eateries, in Japan.
The logo captures a wave that gives a nod to the founder’s passion for water, symbolizing the brand's warm and inviting aura.
We crafted the packaging in a way that leaves a lasting impression—a keepsake drawer-style box worth cherishing. The bookmark-style clothing tag doubles as a charming keepsake. The checklist, discreetly printed, stands as a companion for the wearer's journey: becoming a memory, a prompt for experiences, and a preparatory manual all in one.
Drawing inspiration from the pastel textures of Europe, we curated a sophisticated colour palette that reflects the beauty of coastal landscapes. Our illustrations transform waves and curves into a motif, reminiscent of a leisurely afternoon spent relaxing at the beachside. The inner packaging itself acts as a muslin fabric wrap that can be reused as a flip-flop bag for your onshore adventures.
